Question: How do I know if the CBS-880 is the right band sealer for me?
Our CBS-880 band sealer can seal flat bags, stand up pouches, gusseted pouches and much more. While the CBS-880 can seal most bags in an incredibly efficient manner, remember there are some limitations.
- Weight of the bag should be no heavier than 2.2-lbs. If you are planning to seal a pretty heavy item, we have other band sealers that can handle the load
- No liquids. Remember, your bag is going to sit horizontally on the conveyor so any liquids will spill out. Take a look at our vertical band sealers or our FRM-1120C tilting band sealer if you are planning on sealing liquids
You’re always welcome to send your bag samples over to us and we can seal some sample bags for you!
Question: Does the CBS-880 print an expiration date or a lot code?
The CBS-880 has embossing capabilities which creates a raised message on the seal line. This can be customized to your message whether it be a company name, lot code or expiration date. We also carry band sealers that can print via dry ink coding. See the comparison chart below.
